We recently had a chance to chat with Race Director, Mickey Rzymek about North Coast Multi-Sports. Mickey stated, “We love our multisport community and we care deeply about enhancing athletic lifestyles and uniting likeminded individuals. Whether you are training, competing, looking for a club, need equipment, or nutrition help, North Coast Multi-Sports is always here for you. We know the best products for our triathlon racers and we strive each day to educate our athletes on the benefits of training procedures, product usage, and rehabilitation assignments.”

Mickey also continued, “it’s no surprise, our community of athletes is tight nit. Our partnership with the USA Triathlon community is growing and advancing in all forms. Especially here in Northern Ohio, we race all year round.  On average we like to support the community and assist in 80+ events per year. In fact, we’ve been working with the Ironman team since the beginning of their triathlons 40 years ago. We exist to bring you everything from top to bottom of the highest quality to ensure we’re equipped to help you reach your goals of a healthy and fit lifestyle”.

North Coast Multi-Sports Stays Involved

“Not only do we support our athletes, but we strive to help serve those interested in participating in an event, even if it’s their first time. We understand there are multiple questions, training procedures, registrations, qualifications, and a lifestyle that takes place in everyone’s lives in order for these events to be possible. We like to tell people that first thing you can do is join a team, club, or organization of likeminded athletes and trust us, there are plenty in Northern Ohio. Most even have a low cost to join,” says Mickey.

The Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, Cleveland Metroparks, Cleveland Tri-Club, Summit Athletic Running Club, Lake Medina open swim group, Canton Tri-Club, Steel Valley Triathlon Club, Portage Cyclery Tri Club, Baldwin Wallace Triathlon Club, and Ashland University Triathlon Club are some great clubs to join, just to name a few. These organizations exist to assist athletes in training, support, and growth.

Train Like a Pro with the Right Gear

One of their favorite activities to help athletes train is introducing them to resistance cords. North Coast Multi-Sports works directly with NZ Manufacturing who is located here in Northeast Ohio. They’ve partnered with NZ Manufacturing for years because our athletes enjoy their StrechCordz® Open Water Training gear and we see positive results from our athletes when using them. We will dig deeper in Part 2 about the specifics of product usage and the events coming up for triathlon competitors.

It’s always a pleasure speaking with Mickey Rzymek about North Coast Multi-Sports. Mikey has been a certified race director for years. His involvement in the racing community is well known and appreciated by the athletes and companies actively participating in triathlons. North Coast Multi-Sports can be easily reached by email, ncmultisports@aol.com or phone 330-686-1680, with inquiries about racing equipment, training, groups, triathlons and more. We look forward to speaking with Mickey again about his future endeavors in the racing community.
