We recently had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Jason Jaeger, who is an accomplished entrepreneur, Chiropractic physician and NZ Manufacturing Advisory Board Member.

We thought it would be a good idea to interview him to show our customers just how he’s using our MediCordz® rehab gear in his various businesses.  Read on to catch our interview and feel free to reach out to our team if you have any questions about the products that he mentions below.

How long have you been a Chiropractic Doctor?

I have been a Chiropractic doctor for more than 17 years. I’m currently the CEO of Advanced Spine & Posture, 2 facilities which offer Medical Physiatry, Physical Therapy and Chiropractic Biophysics. We are one of the nations centers of excellence and are located in Las Vegas, Nevada.

What is your specialty within the realm of Chiropractic?

I currently specialize in a chiropractic approach called Clinical Biomechanics of Posture (CBP). This specialty required a 200 hour post graduate fellowship and is currently recognized by the Nevada Chiropractic Physicians’ Board, as a post graduate certification.

In addition, I’m an instructor with the Chiropractic Biophysics Doctor Institute, where I teach Clinical Biomechanics of Posture. This facility is based in Eagle, ID.

I’m currently the Secretary and Treasurer for the Nevada Chiropractic Physicians’ Board and am a former board member of two state associations including the Nevada Chiropractic Association and the Nevada Chiropractic Council.

When were you first introduced to products from NZ Manufacturing?

I was exposed to NZ Manufacturing in 2002 when I was working in an informal post graduate residency focused on CBP. In this program, we used MediCordz® exercise therabands and theraband handles, as well as theraband head harnesses to perform a variety of neuromuscular re-education exercises that are specifically used for posture retraining.

How do you currently use resistance bands?

We currently use NZ Manufacturing resistance cords in two primary ways:

  1. We use MediCordz® gear for strengthening exercises that offer more consistency when compared to simply using gym equipment alone. We’re able to teach symmetric exercises to help build muscle.
  2. Additionally, when I was going through my informal residency I identified that there was a large amount of spinal rehab equipment that was focused only on a  particular body part or range of motion, and there wasn’t a good place to do proper posture retraining exercises and movements,  on or adjacent to these machines. After about 12 months in the program, and in collaboration with the other doctors on the team,  we developed and patented a piece of spinal rehab equipment called a Universal Tractioning Systems (UTS) ( www.utsspine.com)which is still in use today by doctors and rehab facilities around the world. The MediCordz® line is an integral part of UTS and comes standard  with the exercise and postural equipment from NZ Manufacturing.

How can NZ Manufacturing’s products benefit both the patient as well as the doctor?

NZ Manufacturing’s wide array of resistance cords can benefit the patient and doctor in a number of ways, including:

  1. Resistance cords can be used for posture retraining because you can do posture movements and motions opposite of a person’s preferred posture, which is usually stooped. We use MediCordz® resistance cords and the MediCordz® Headset Kit along with the UTS to asymmetrically exercise an individual with the clinical goal of improving posture.
  2. Resistance cords can also be used to strengthen muscles for those individuals who may have been injured in some sort of accident, while playing sports, or have some other type of traumatic injury.
