NZ Manufacturing, Inc., a leader in high-quality resistance training and physical rehabilitation tools, recently donated a variety of product to Northview School and the Montgomery County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities in Dayton, Ohio. Product included stability balls, weighted medicine balls, balance pads and light resistance exercise materials for physical training and stability exercises.
The contribution was in response to a written request for a variety of sports-related materials to enhance Northview’s traveling adaptive P.E. program. “I travel to at least 12 different schools during the week,” wrote John Zerkle, a Northview School adaptive physical education instructor, “and the teachers are always looking for sports items for their rooms.”
In deciding upon the right materials to donate, NZ Manufacturing consulted with its advisory panel members in the field of special education and fitness. The selected products aid in the training and conditioning of balance, core strength and high tone issues.
“NZ Manufacturing is committed to giving back to the community,” says Maureen Petrasko, company president. “While we can’t fulfill every request, our review board considers every submission.” In addition to domestic efforts, NZ Manufacturing provides funding for food and water, educational assistance, cancer research, and health and safety assistance to charitable causes worldwide.
