NZ Manufacturing, Inc., a leader in high-quality resistance training and physical rehabilitation tools, recently participated in the Susan G. Komen Cleveland 3-Day for the Cure® event to support breast cancer awareness and research.
“As part of the health and fitness industry, NZ Manufacturing is proud to take an active part in the fight against breast cancer,” says Maureen Petrasko, president of NZ Manufacturing. “This type of cancer has affected so many people – including our own friends and family, customers and distributors.”
The Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure® is a 60-mile walk for women and men who want to make a personal difference in the fight against breast cancer. Participants walk 60 miles in three days to help raise millions of dollars for breast cancer research and patient support programs. The Cleveland walk began at the Port Authority Lot and traveled 60 miles through the Cleveland area, concluding at Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds.
NZ Manufacturing has supported the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the past four years, raising thousands of dollars for its cause. “Every year, I learn more about breast cancer and the amazing people fighting personal battles against it,” remarks Petrasko. “Last year, I was surprised to learn the number of men who are annually diagnosed with the disease. I was fortunate to walk several miles with a woman who just finished her last round of chemotherapy. What a truly life-changing experience!”
NZ Manufacturing has already committed to participating in next year’s Susan G. Komen Cleveland 3-Day for the Cure® event. It is scheduled for August 3-5, 2012.
